    Avv. Marialoreta Corsi

Lawyer of the Cassino Bar, admitted to the bar since 2015

    Professional Profile

Marialoreta Corsi is a lawyer of the Cassino Bar, admitted since 2015, and of counsel at Legal Aid, where she practises at the Milan office and works on the firm's matters on an ongoing basis, while maintaining her own professional practice. A Law graduate of Sapienza University of Rome in 2011, with a thesis in criminal procedure on the invasiveness of the means of gathering evidence and the rights of the person, she continued her training at the Specialisation School for the Legal Professions of the same university, graduating in 2013, and completed it with the two-year course on technique and ethics of the criminal lawyer organised by the Cassino Criminal Bar Association, a member of the Union of Italian Criminal Bar Associations.

Her work lies where criminal proceedings meet the numbers. In proceedings for tax, corporate and bankruptcy crimes she examines tax and accounting documentation, tests the reconstructions made by the Guardia di Finanza, the tax authorities and insolvency bodies, and turns that analysis into defence arguments. This work precedes and supports every procedural choice and, in most economic cases, determines whether the charge holds up on both its objective and subjective elements.

Consistent with the subject of her training, she pays particular attention to precautionary measures on assets: preventive and evidentiary seizures, seizures for confiscation, including by equivalent, and related appeals, where the reconstruction of the profit and its attribution to the suspect are the decisive ground of the defence. From the same perspective she deals with crimes against property arising within business relationships.

For the firm she drafts opinions, briefs and pleadings in her areas of practice, in coordination with the partner responsible for the defence, to whom the law reserves the performance of engagements conferred on the firm. Her working method favours a complete review of the case file, systematic verification of legislative and case-law sources and sober, well-reasoned writing.
